ESP_Compuesto por dos tomos, I'm okay trata sobre la adolescencia y, más concretamente, reflexiona sobre el uso de la fotografía en esta extraña etapa vital.

La autora revisita sus propias fotografías de adolescente para trazar una línea entre éstas y las de otras chicas de diferentes períodos históricos que, como ella, utilizaron y utilizan la fotografía como un recurso de autoconocimiento, de puesta en escena, experimentación y presunto control de la propia apariencia.

Este ensayo se articula a través de cuatro cartas ficticias donde la artista se dirige directamente a cuatro jóvenes para hablarles de sus autorretratos.

La utilización del espejo, la teatralización, la autosexualización, la utilización de filtros y el nacimiento de las redes sociales son los principales temas por los que transita este escrito.

A este tomo le acompaña un segundo como ensayo visual, que termina completando el proyecto. La artista retoma sus antiguas imágenes para trazar relaciones entre éstas y los retratos que ha tomado de mujeres adolescentes actualmente, para subrayar lo universal que es este sentimiento de incomodidad, de duda y de fragilidad en la adolescencia.

El título del libro tiene la intención de resumir ese misterioso sentimiento adolescente, estar entre sentirse bien y sentirse mal, entre ser una niña y ser adulta, y, en definitiva, entre ser capaz e incapaz de expresar con claridad cómo una se siente.

The use of the mirror, theatricalisation, self-sexualisation, the use of filters and the birth of social networks are the main themes through which this work passes.

This volume is accompanied by a second volume as a visual essay, which completes the project. The artist takes up her old images to trace relations between them and the portraits she has taken of adolescent women today, to underline how universal this feeling of discomfort, doubt and fragility in adolescence is.

The title of the book is intended to sum up this mysterious adolescent feeling, the feeling between feeling good and feeling bad, between being a child and being an adult, and, ultimately, between being able and being unable to express clearly how one feels.

ENG_Composed by two volumes, I'm okay is about adolescence and, more specifically, it reflects on the use of photography in this strange stage of life.

The author revisits her own photographs as a teenager to draw a line between them and those of other girls from different historical periods who, like her, used and still use photography as a resource for self-knowledge, staging, experimentation and presumed control of one's own appearance.

This essay is articulated through four fictitious letters in which the artist addresses four young women directly to talk to them about their self-portraits.
